ABOUT YCTU

       Yancheng Teachers University is in Yancheng City, located in central Jiangsu province on China’s east coast, about 185 miles from Shanghai. Yancheng has a World Natural Heritage--Yancheng Yellow Sea Wetlands, also known in China as the home of red-crested cranes and Milu Deer. It has a convenient transportation system and a population of 8,000,000 people.

Our two campuses, less than 5 miles apart, have grown to more than 240 acres. The university offers 73 majors (59 of which are non-pedagogy-oriented) for undergraduate studies in 18 schools. The strength of YCTU is partly reflected in its 10 National First-Class Majors and 17 Provincial First-Class Majors.

YCTU is proud of its qualified and devoted teaching and administration staff. Among its over 1600 staff members, there are about 600 professors and associate professors, more than 200 of them being graduate or doctoral supervisors with prestigious universities, such as Nanjing University, Wuhan University, East China Normal University, and Tongji University, etc.

As an active participant in educational globalization, YCTU enjoys good partnership with more than 90 universities and institutions across the world by hosting international academic conferences, operating joint education programs, and conducting international research collaborations.

Our efforts are targeted to prepare YCTU students to meet global opportunities and challenges through a learning-centered classroom environment; to expand the boundaries of current knowledge while exploring the practical applications of that knowledge; and to promote the economic growth, social development as well as educational progress of the region through excellence in service outreach.

盐城师范学院位于中国江苏省中部的盐城市，距离上海约300公里。盐城拥有世界自然遗产——盐城黄海湿地，被誉为丹顶鹤和麋鹿的故乡。全市人口约800万，拥有非常便捷的城际交通网络。

学校的两个校区——通榆校区和新长校区，相距不到5公里，校园占地面积1500亩。学校有18个学院，73个专业（其中59个是非教学学专业），国家级一流本科专业建设点10个和省级一流本科专业建设点17个。

学校现有教职工1600多人，教授、副教授约600人，其中200余人受聘为南京大学、武汉大学等知名大学的研究生或博士导师。

学校积极开展广泛的对外交流与合作，举办国际学术会议、开展联合教育项目和开展国际研究合作，目前境外合作高校已超90所。.
